I had an amazing day shooting for the luxury magazine Veranda. It could not have been a more perfect socal day! As you know, I'm used to working with musicians, actors, models, etc. but meeting these designers was inspiring in a whole new way. Each of them are uniquely talented and my world of ideas opened up in a whole new way...as I am currently in the process of furnishing/decorating my little studio. They reminded me how important it is to keep beauty around you. It doesn't necessarily mean owning a luxury home (however awesome it may be)...for me,it means having a hot cup of jasmine tea out of my favorite tea cup that I bought in a little boutique while wandering the streets of SOHO.

Let the beauty from within you overflow into your environment.

This Is Gonna Hurt- PT 3

In part 3, James, DJ and Nikki really get into their views and experiences on judgements and perceptions of beauty. This also features Amy, who I was fortunate to get to know throughout this process. You will see some of the photographs we created..and the wig/body paint that went into her transformation.

I think it's deeply important that each one of us, at some point, look within ourselves to see our own judgements of people and our definition of real beauty. Is it my definition or did I swallow the lies that were fed to me? If we can move past our judgements and look with fresh eyes on what we see, then beauty will blossom for us all on it's own. But we have to be willing to look at the dark,hidden side of ourselves. This takes brutal honesty and guts...

Working with the legendary Mick Rock was such a crazy fun experience. He is a rock god all on his own. Go buy this book right now...it's amazing. It includes one of my favorite shots of Tommy Lee.

Moby feat. Heather Graham

It was pure joy working with Moby and the beautiful Heather Graham. I had so much fun with everyone on this set. A lot of work went into this video, especially with all of the SFX and body paint that went into creating the "demon." I especially love how artful the video turned out. I am proud to be a part of such a beautiful piece.
