Tattoos & Tequila

How do I describe hanging out with one of rock’s most notorious frontmen, Vince Neil, on his home turf in Las Vegas? Well, you’re just gonna have to read about it in his newly released autobiography (with Mike Sager). I’ve been working with Vince for years now, and although he is a businessman as well as a musician, he still definitely knows how to have a good time. We shot the cover for the book at his beautiful house in Las Vegas. Also, be sure to check out the musical companion CD to the book with the hit single “Tattoos & Tequila” that we also shot on location. Thank you Vince and thank you Vegas for an unforgettable adventure.

Peace, Love and Makeup

How did 2010 pass us by so quickly? Is it just me, or is time speeding up?! And, now here we are, more than half way through January, and I’m just now getting around to posting my little thoughts about 2010. Like most of us, I’m so focused on the never ending “to do list” or one of my various projects, that I forget to take a moment to reflect on the many amazing experiences of which I’ve found myself a part. From heartbreaking disappointments to moments of transcendence where time seems to stop, just to let you enjoy it’s magnificence. This is what I adore most about being a makeup artist, and what keeps me continually fascinated with the process of conception to creation. I am, quite literally, in love with art and its many forms. I am honored to work alongside great artists and visionaries who, through their desire to create images that are unique and meaningful, inspire the best from me. So, however late this may be...here’s to a year overflowing with inspiration, prosperity and happiness for us all.

The Used

Another awesome adventure with dir/photographer PR Brown and The Used. This was shot at an actual junk yard outside of LA. This photo currently appears on the side of the Warner Music building in Burbank, visible from the 134 fwy. Thank you to The Used for a very long, hot and unforgettable day.

Dead By Sunrise "Crawl Back In"

Here is the video for the first single "Crawl Back In" from Dead By Sunrise. It was a very hot day out at the historic Vasques Rocks, but it was worth all of the effort for these amazing shots. Dir. PR Brown

This is my third time working with Hoobastank and it's always a blast. "The Letter" features Vanessa Amarosi, Australia’s most powerful vocalist who's first single off of her latest record debuted at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
